CHHS Academic & Resource Center

So a few weeks ago CHHS announced that it had improved its Academic Advising and Resource Center. Well they've updated their site and included information on new facility.

The Center is located at the Human Services and Design building, Room 117. According to its website the center offers information on student support services and provides undergraduate academic advising for both general education and major requirements to students in all of the CHHS disciplines: Criminal Justice, Communicative Disorders, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health Care Administration, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Nursing, Pre-Physical Therapy, Professional Studies, Radiation Therapy, Recreation & Leisure Studies, and Social Work.

They still havent provided any information to their claim that it is any different than any other Resource Center besides the fact that it provides help to students in that department major.

Rompe El Silencio Project Finished

The project "Rompre El Silencio" was finalized this week. The project united many Latinas, as young as 14 to talk about sex in the Latin Community.

They used alias to talk about sex, which is hardly mentioned in many latino homes.

Surveys were filled out and focus groups gathered to distribute and talk about how to improve the education of Latinas around LA county.

The project was finalized this past friday.
